Old and tired
The room was shabby and everything smelled musty/smoky even though it was a nonsmoking room. There is no real restaurant in the hotel - just a snack bar type of place that serves extremely unhealthy food for the most part and you are right at the end of the strip so you’re pretty much captive if it’s the middle of winter and you’ve got kids in swimsuits and don’t want to go out. I will not go back. The price wasn’t that much lower than other much nicer hotels in the Dells.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Wizard Quest. A cool adventure game where you have to find clues to win points which release trapped wizards. Very fun for kids who can read. I wish there were one in my hometown. I bet it would take several tries to learn everything.
