As the Clash song goes I just got back and I wish I’d never been there!

Room This was comfortable but the walls were very thin as our next room neighbour was a loud snorer and sleep talker. We marvelled at some of the things he was saying at 4 am in the morning! Satelite is misleading as it is all spanish chanels, the only english speaking channel was CNN news which was not working when we were staying. The maids were regular but certan hairs that were in the bathroom on our first day remained there for the majority of our stay. When we asked why the water was always cold in the evening we were advised by the receptionist to bath and shower in the morning as this was due to the high usage the system cannot cope! Food Breakfasts were passable with care but the evening meals reminded us of the worst school dinners we could remember with poor choice and low calorific values. The biggest problem was that the food was always cold. We had to rely on the microwave to head the food up all the time. Warm plates would have helped here, this was desperate, Gordon Ramsey would have had a nightmare here. The atmosphere in the eating area reminded us of a morgue and we could not wait to get our "food" and get out as soon as possible. Bar and entertainment Didn’t bother with the bar as there was no atmosphere and no entertainment all week in the hotel. Swimming pool and sun lounge area Clean but inpersonal, we did not stay in this area for the entire visit. Overall feel of the hotel Tired and in need of paint inside and out, very disapointing.

Traveller's tip

Don’t go to this hotel unless you like basic rooms with poor food and no atmosphere and morning only baths. This hotel is advertised on expedia as a 3 star hotel but it falls very short of that. 1 to 2 star is fairer. It is a budget "hotel" This was the forth time we have stayed in accomadation at Menorca and by far the worst. Apart from the "Hotel" we love the Island and recommend it to all that travel there, get a car though, it’s so benefical.

Ideal location

Hotel ok but understand it is closing for a 3 million pound refurb this winter. Food was awful and had to dine in a local restaurant.

Good value for money is Pitos restaurant nearby.
