Great rooms
I must say I will always remember my stay in Ste Maxime. The apartments are lovely, so much space. Very clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. During our trip Ste maxime had a freak thunder storm which left us without electricity for a whole night. I never seen rain like it. We were a little put out to find that the hotel didnt have candles or torches. Im just sad that I didnt get a chance to have a dip in the pool, as the pool was stunning. Ste Maxime is a lovely town and has a lot to offer. Even better its so close to St tropez which is also Stunning.

Very good family location
Reception staff was friendly and fluent in English. The room is actually a two room apartments with living room with kitchen fully equipped with all appliances you need to prepare a meal - fridge, stove, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, dishes, cups, silverware, coffee maker and etc. LCD TV/DVD with the local channels is also available. The bedroom is roughly 4mx4m but the bed was a bit too soft for me. Bathroom and toilet are separate but comfortable and clean. There are plenty of parking spaces, and you can park right in front of your room (10m away actually). Swimming pool was great. 10 min walk to the closest hypermarket, 20 min walk to downtown and the seacoast. Address is wrong on the maps here, so here is the GPS NAV street name: Route de Plan-de-la-Tour 120, 83120 Sainte-Maxime, Var, Provence-Alpes-Côte dAzur, France. I had trouble finding the place and it took me abround 30 minutes asking around. Great place. I will definitely go again.

Out of town
When we eventually found the hotel it was really a nice place to stay but it took four separate bus journeys to get there from Toulon airport which took around 6 hours. Nobody in St Maxime had heard of it or of the street it was in and after 6pm (earlier?) there was no way of getting a taxi as the taxi offices were all closed and nobody answered the phones. The taxi rank also closed down early and there was no public transport. This meant we had to book into other expensive accommodation for the first night. The taxi ride the next day cost 20 pounds for a five minute ride (2km. We found a local bus into town but it ran at 7:30 am and 2:40pm, so it was impossible to spend a full day in St Maxime.
Traveller's tip
Hire a car from the airport if you can drive or arrange to stay the first night in town if you can afford it.
