The Clifton is in a good location, just a 10 minute walk into town. The reception area/bar is very nice and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean although the decor room was somewhat outdated and could do with a refresh.

Value for money
The staff were friendly and competent. The rooms clean and comfortable though very dated. The lobby looked fine as a ’period’ room. The carpets and the paint on the walls in the corridors and guest rooms need refreshing; makes the place look tired..
Had a good dinner at The Racks, which is situated in the basement and also at La Tasca which is somewhere in the vicinity of the Museum.

Great Reception, OK room.
The hotel is perfectly positioned for the city centre and 5-10 minutes away from many of the attractions ( museum, Wills Memorial etc ). The Receptionist could not have been more helpful on check in and also advising on location amenities and the reception is modern and inviting. The room, however, was a bit disappointing. The bed was not comfortable, the TV remote batteries were flat and the room, although clean, just felt like it needed updating although the complimentary fruit was a nice touch. All in all, its OK for what you pay.
