Home from home
The Residence Sulekova proved to be a great place to stay to see Bratislava. The reception staff were friendly and pleasant. The room and the rest of the hotel were spotlessly clean. The room itself was large with its own kitchenette and plenty of storage space. Breakfast, strangely, was served in the room but was good, with a range of breads etc to choose from but no variety between days. Order the time for breakfast each day from reception. and theyll deliver within minutes of that time. The Residence was about 10/15 mins walk from the old town (and, unlike a previous review, its in a very pleasant district) but only a few minutes on the 208 trolleybus which terminates outside the hotel and which was very frequent. Bratislava is a beautiful city well worth a visit and this is the perfect place to stay. Only negatives are that the room which was very hot (in April) and the lack of variety of breakfast; would have been a 5 * review otherwise. Open the windows fully and you shouldnt have a problem with the heat.

Faultless
We have just returned from a short break in Bratislava and had a wonderful stay at Mamaison Residence Sulekova. The room was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than expected, but our room was ready so we could check in, they provided excellent travel advice for a days trip to Vienna and, even after we had checked out were happy for us to leave our bags and pop back later to collect them, have a coffee and relax in the lounge area while we awaited for our taxi. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the historic centre, but we were aware of this and it was not an issue. In fact, it was nice seeing a bit more of the city than you would if you stayed in the historic area. In fact, despite there being a bus stop pretty much outside the hotel we walked to and from every time, both day and night. All in all, a wonderful stay and a fantastic hotel. Wed happily stay here again and at other Mamaisons in other cities (in fact, were already planning a trip to Prague!!)
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Its well worth getting to grips with the local bus/tram system as they are so frequent and cheap! On one occasion, we jumped in a cab when we could easily have got a tram and ended up spending about three times what we would have if we had got on the tram! That said, if you dont mind walking, the city is fairly accessible by foot!
