A very good night’s stay
The hotel is well situated with a fabulous view over Kobe, particularly at night. Very easy to get to by shinkansen (Shin-Kobe) or by the city metro. Handily placed for the cable car and for a large shopping mall, which includes many restaurants (eat at a Japanese steak bar)and even a 100 Yen shop. Buffet breakfast, though not cheap, is good and the hotel staff are very friendly. Internet connection is reliable and free. I would stay there again.

I can recommend the Japanese steak house in the Mall. Also the cable car.

Great modern hotel
The Crown Plaza is a relatively new and modern hotel. The rooms are bright and of good size (for Japan). There is in-room internet (cable) and they have a single US TV channel. The bathroom is of good size and modern with the latest facilities. The hotel has a good buffet restaurant on the ground floor. There is a good set of shops in the embedded mall. Overall a great place to stay. The hotel is just next door to the Shinkansen train station in Kobe and 0.5 miles from the central train station. The settings is next to the mountains and very nice.

Very relaxing stay
My room was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff was wonderfully courteous and everyone spoke English. I had a wonderful, relaxing stay which was very important as I am newly widowed and needed to relax.

There are lots of shops and restaurants in the hotel area. Very convenient!
