Lovely, lovely, lovely
Oia is beautiful and the Residence Suites are in a prime location. Definitely the best village to base yourself in Santorini, especially if you enjoy fine dining. Checking in via the the Tourist Office is a bit of a performance, but you would never find the place otherwise. Fortunately, a nice man meets you at the office and carries your bags up and down the windy, stepped streets to the accommodation. The nearest parking is some distance away so the residence is not really suitable for those with mobility problems. Not sure it’s particualrly suitable for noisy or boisterous children, either. The studios are charming, traditional houses set into the hillside and when you sit outside you are photographed hundreds of times a day by visiting tourists. They could be a bit cleaner (the mildew smell in the apartment and the ’soupy’ state of the water in the jacuzzi were rather offputting) and the breakfast was basic (easily livened up with some local fruit and yogurt), but the staff were very friendly and helpful and the sea view was breathtaking.

Very charming hotel in a good location
Well-run, friendly hotel in traditional style in beautiful Oia. Small kitchenette and terrace area for outdoor dining.
