not too shabby!!!
The hotel is a little out f the city centre, but was booked because of its facilities. we walked into town and it acually only took 25 mins and was quite pleasent. the room was ok but the shutters didn’t quite work due to one of the catches being broken. apart from that and being about 100miles away from breakfast we had a very enjoyable stay nd would consider booking again.
Book dinner at the Library in the city centre. It was superb. The meals are cooked on a wood stove and the home made chips and onion rings were absolutley out of this world. amazing atmosphere, stunning building and great service all at a very reasonable price

Make sure you have a car and map out the route to the hotel since it is outside of the city. The hotel is shabby. The internet is (no wireless) expensive for the UK. Hotel is older and shabby looking. Entirely fogetable experience really. Nothing to do in the immediate vacinity. Hotel double charged me for the room.

Comfortable, clean, just what we needed
Altho we were surprised that instead of bedspreads that could be used as an extra layer for sleeping we had "runners" on the end of the beds, the hotel was clearly up to the standards we expected. Breakfast was pleasant, altho the eggs had the texture of microwaved scrambled eggs. Overall, very nice, definitely what we needed for a base for sight-seeing and exploring the region.
