Good room, helpful staff, excellent Location
The hotel was perfectly located for sightseeing. Stayed in one of their Superior Doubles. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasand and extremely helpful. The free continental breakfast was sufficient to set you up for the day, Croissants, fried eggs, toast, Juice, cereal, cheese. The hotel is apparently under new management. I stayed at the hotel for 1 night and will undoubtedly return.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Its very difficult to find a good British restaurants serving English Cuisine at reasonable prices. There is a very nice quality one called the Canteen on Baker street which is only 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Would recommend.

Not impressed
One of the curtains was hanging off the pole so curtains gaped when pulled, not good for a room facing onto a road. No bedside light or bedside table. Ceiling light had two bulbs but one was dud. The room did have a nice tele with a digibox unfortunately I couldnt find a remote for the freeview. Room 9 was off a locked corridor so had to go back to reception to get the key for that. Room was not ensuite but the bathroom was right next door. On the upside a beautiful old building in a nice quiet area. Staff were good when you could find them!. This is definately a one night hotel for me.
