Viva the sunshine!
With a bit of trepidation I booked this hotel via Expedia, having always booked direct with hotels in past. Arrived at 2.30pm at the viva Bahia, Went to reception and was checked in and in our apartment in 5 Mins flat! Apartment was great, really large bedroom, 2 x sofa beds in lounge, 2 sinks off the bathroom and a bath, loo and the best Shower I have ever had on holiday before! Surroundings fantastic, 3 pools linked together, pirate ship for the kids and a Chill out area for over 18’s with own beautiful pool and balanese beds, which we used every day until 8 pm most nights the weather was that good! If you have kids, you wont see them all holiday, the kids entertainment was great. If you were a couple with no kids like us, You will be climbing the walls from 7.30 to 8.30 each night with the kids disco. If I hear Cowboy,Barbie girl or If you’re happy and you know it one more time, I will scream ! Bufo the bear, the hotel mascot, was very lucky I did not lynch him! Apart from the kids entertainment each night, which was only for an hour, I have not enjoyed a holiday so much in years. A total chill out, walking along the fantastic beach, swimming in the warm tropical water ( any reports you may hear that the beach is overcrowded, is from lazy people who dont want to walk 50 m where the beach is empty, you can even go nudist it it takes your fancy! All in All A fantastic Complex, Easy to get around and We will be booking again next year
Traveller's tip on nightlife
Is quiet outside Hotel, only around 8 Restaurants mainly steaks/italian. Only 5 minutes bus into Can picafort or Playa de Muro where loads of places ( 1.20 each way) If travelling back to airport by Taxi, ask for the Zimbabwe Taxi driver, You will not regret it, He is one of the nicest Guys you could meet, so friendly and funny, the journey flies by

Can’t wait to go back !
Just got back home from one of the most enjoyable weeks holiday we have been on. Usually go over to palma side of majorca, but decided to try something different. Hotel was fab, everywhere spotless, apts clean and air con great and was needed. Apt overlooked the pool area and only down side was the repeat playing of kids songs( barbie girl, if youre happy, cowboy etc) every night with Bufo bear coming on 1/2 way through, this was between 7.30-8.30pm Best bit was over 18 chill out area, lovely pool, balanese beds, no kids , GREAT!!. 20 yds to beautuful Playa de muro beach, water so clean and warm felt like I was in tropics. Easy to get around loads of buses and taxis when you want them, few bars and restaurants in near vicinity, didn’t eat at hotel at all All in all a fab holiday if you can put up with the kids entertainment for 2 hours a night, goes quiet at 11 pm so no probs sleeping. Looking at booking again for Sept and only been back 2 hours!

OK for many but not for us
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The buffet was extensive and pretty good quality. Pool was fine and the staff were efficient but this hotel was not really for us. There was entertainment was every night in August both here and next door this was too loud and went on to 11 and sometime 12 o’clock and was loud in our top floor room. There was a full program of animation none of which we used and the beach was rather narrow and full or sunbeds and shades so that it felt rather restricting. Guests mostly Scandanvian with some German and Brits.
