the hotel was just about okay

not the greatest hotel in the world but it was okay.the staff were not great overall they were a miserable bunch and made you feel you were intruding on their territory.breakfast time was dreadful it was a buffet system, the trouble was, various items were not kept topped up by the staff so it was pot luck as to what food you had for your breakfast and it was a nightmare trying to find yourself a cup of tea or coffee i don’t think the staff thought it was important to keep this topped up.the evening entertainment was awful you are treated to a mediocre singer for 45 minutes followed by bingo and thats it all over by 10pm.the room was fair but the bed was like a concrete block, this was due to it’s age as the springs in it were flat due to many many years of use.

the hotel is okay as a base for all the attractions but if you want friendliness and comfort try somewhere else.

Good location

The hotel looks very old & dated outside bit inside it is clean & fairly modern, rooms were clean & because of the location late night noise was very minimum. I go to Blackpool regular & find parking an issue this hotel is good the fact u get the car park fee waived for staying there.

Litten Tree just across the road, bargain meals

OK BUT NOT BRILLIANT

on arrival we were unable to get parked in the hotels car park as it was full, we were then told by the staff on reception that it was first come first served , our room was basic but clean apart from the windows which were filthy, when we went down for our meal on the first night the cutlery was filthy, (for the other meals it was ok), meals were ok 2/3 choices and plenty of it, not enough staff anywhere in hotel, could’nt get served at the bar only 1 member of staff doing drinks and food, had to wait nearly 20 minutes for a drink.

the bar sells drinks for half price between 12pm and 7pm, really good value for money(if you can get served that is)
