Simpsons from Cornwall England
This is the first time we have used Marriots for a holiday, our previous use has been on business. We were so impressed that we have signed up for the Mattiot card and we will always consider this chain for all future hotel bookings. We found the hotel experience to be excellent, the standard was high and the staff well trained and friendly. I would recommend this chain although I found the bar prices to be a little excessive.
Berlin is a fantastic city with a real wealth of history and place. I recommend the open bus top tour and the Berlin Dome.

A fun 4 days in Berlin
We picked this hotel based upon past reviews, and it lived it up expectation. Our room was nice and spacious, and getting a goods night sleep really wasnt a problem at all. The location of the hotel is approximately 15/20 minutes from the city centre. Would definately recommend to others who are looking for a good priced place to stay in relative luxury. Theres a 24 hour shop that sold snacks if you ever got hungry in the middle of the night. We didnt sample the restaurant within the hotel, but it was always bustling in the evenings. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only gripe would be with the lack of english tv, news channels were the only source of entertainment after a day out in the city unfortunately.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Theres so much to see and do Berlin, and this hotel has great accessibility to buses and the underground network, being only 2 minutes away from either. I would recommend its definately worth planning what you many want to do on any given day, and its worthwhile spilting the city into segments and covering each one on a particular day. Our stay was 3 nights, I think ideally 5 nights would be suffice to be able fully appreciate Berlin.

Faultless City Centre Hotel - I would stay there again & highly recommend to friends.
Great location easy to walk to many attractions and better still, yards away from a U-bahn stop for easy access to the whole city. The Hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, rooms are well tended and public areas pristine. Staff are very welcoming, happy to help and cheerful. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The buffet breakfast is SUPERB. Another good feature of this hotel is the restaurant - serving until quite late, the food was excellent, not a huge menu, reasonably priced and beautifully presented freshly cooked dishes:- If we had been out all day and couldnt find the "right place" to graze at the end of the day, we knew we could eat VERY well back at the hotel. I would give The Courtyard Marriott 5/5 overall and would be happy to stay there again - in fact, if I went back to Berlin I wouldnt even look at other hotels - no need to after this find. Hope this helps you folks.
Traveller's tip
Dont be fooled by the Berlin card claim that you can get discounted entry into museums; we couldnt get a discount in ANY museums visited - it just covers travel around the city in reality.
