Shangri-La Sydney - Fantastic Hotel

This is a fantastic hotel. Booked an Opera House room and the views were stunning. The hotel is well positioned for the Bridge/opera house, Circular Quay, George street shopping and Darling harbour. The hotel service was second to none. Rooms were large, well equipted, very clean. Tried room service one night and the food was excellent quality, great choice and fast service and not over priced. Concierge service was brilliant - very knowlegable and quoted taxi fares to the dollar! Great price on expedia definetly a 5* plus hotel. If you want to enjoy your stay in Sydney then book in here!

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Take the explorer train from Central to the Blue Mountains. $51 per adult includes the 2 hour train journey and a hop on-off explorer bus of the region. The guides on the bus are excellent with great commentary all the way around to help you get the most of the visit. Head off early in the morning to get the most out of the trip. Trains are hours to and from Sydney and the bus goes around 26 stops every 30mins and is timed to get back for the trains! Fantastic day trip.

Good attention to Detail, Good Food

This hotel has clean rooms, good attention to detail. Hotel also has many types of comprehensive breakfasts, both Western and Eastern. Would highly recommend doing the Horizon Club, as you get breakfast included. The hotel is also centrally located and the staff are very helpful.

Great views of the harbour

The hotel location is perfect as it is right near to the circular quay train and ferry station which is central to most tourist things in Sydney i.e. The opera house, sydney habour bridge. We stayed in the ocean harbour view room so we had excellent views of the opera house. It was so nice we didn’t even want to leave the hotel. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and always very helpful.

There are so many things Sydney has to offer and it offers both the city life and great tourist attractions. The best thing we did was getting a ferry to Manly beach and going on a bike tour to North Head. You can see the Sydney skyline in all its beauty. After we headed to a restuarant called Garfish, best fish in chips I have had in my whole life.
