Great B & B in Oakhurst Ca
We had a wonderful stay at the Hounds Tooth Inn. The room was large and comfortable, the breakfast each moring was wonderful and the innkeepers were very nice. Would highly recommend it if you are going up 49 or to Yosemite.

Excellent: Perfect for Yosemite National Park
You can pay much more to stay in substandard and overpriced resorts in Yosemite National Park but if you prefer friendly service, a small friendly lodging, a clean room, and peace and quiet then the Hounds Tooth is for you. It’s excellent - I can’t recommend it enough. The park really is so close that you gain little by staying inside the park as opposed to being in Oakhurst plus you get the advantages of nice places to eat in town and other stuff to do.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Going to Yosemite National Park? ...don’t bother with over-priced & under-delivering Xanterra Resort properties inside the park: stay outside, either south in Oakhurst or northeast in Lee Vining and make selective trips into the park from these bases - you’ll save a fortune and get far better accommodation. Also don’t bother looking for accommodation in El Portal it’s really quite grim as well as being totally over-priced.

Pleasant Stay
We enjoyed our stay at the Hounds Tooth Bed and Breakfast. We were happy with the location and accommodations. The only thing we weren’t too excited about was the breakfast. It was basically a continental breakfast, we were expecting a bigger selection. The inn keepers were very friendly and informative.

Yosemite National Park is only 12 miles away. The Inn is located near various restaurants and grocery stores!
