Good location, rock bottom quality
Hotel in substandard condition: filty, unkept, nothing works properly. Staff slow and rude. Price includes complementary breakfast, but 1.5 hrs after its scheduled time food wasn’t even close to being ready b/c "cook was coming from far away, and she was late". On the bright side, you probably don’t want to eat from that kitchen anyway. Close to downtown.

Not impressed
The hotel is Ok, the problem was that i needed to checkout one day before and they didn’t make the proper arrangements for making a lower invoice amount. The service for that was a shame even considering that in general the hotel was good

An Experience
The Downtowner Inn was by far the most unique hotel we have ever stayed in. Not only was it simple and affordable, it was full of personality. The staff was excellent and very cute (especially a man by the name of Greg). If we ever come back to visit Toronto again, the Downtowner is where we will be staying! PS.. very close to the gay scene!
