Nice hotel
The hotel was really nice, it had a lovely pool and patio area with very comfortable chairs, although the loungers were a bit on the hard side. The beach couldnt be closer with access through a door in the garden wall and it stretched as far as the eye could see. The staff were helpful and the standard of the rooms and breakfast were very good. On the down side the drinks were a bit on the pricey side as was the poolside restaurant at about 90 e for 4 toasted sandwiches and a round of colas (a round of colas was about 20 e). The location was not that great in terms of choice for alternative places to eat and nightlife.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
We went into the town centre twice but it was vast and we didnt feel we actually really found the lively part of the town, restaurants were few and far between. I would recommend really investigating Valencia before you travel to get the most out of your trip.

Luxury at a fantastic location
This smart hotel is set in a superb location for a relaxing, luxurious stay just outside the city with very easy access to metro and buses. Right on the beach and yet only a few minutes from the centre of Valencia, the surrounding area has a good and fairly typical selection of bars and restaurants along the beach but just in from the beach are some very nice and friendly Spanish bars and restaurants. People in the area and the hotel staff are very helpful and courteous but speaking Spanish would be advantageous. Be prepared for a shock when you view menus and spa prices for the first time but you will be experiencing a very high quality of service. It has one of the best hotel gyms I have used.
Bicycles can be hired, from the hotel, at the same rate as anywhere else and there are many cycle routes in the hotel area and around the city.
