Superb Hotel
The Hotel Imperial is a beaurtiful hotel in an excellent location just outside of the old town. The positioning could not be bettered. The hotel is imaculate as you would expect from a five star establishment, with the breakfast buffet as good as we have ever had. There is also a free gym and pool for the use of residents. We had a standard room to the side which still had good views of the city walls.
Beyond the walled city there is not much for culture vultures to see in Dubrovnik out of season and it also rained a lot. In season you have the islands and sea. If you are braver take a day trip to Mostar which is well worth the effort. Taxis are realistically the only way to get from Dubrovnik to the airport and they are expensive, ouch!

fantastic hotel, perfect location
The hotel lived up to its outstanding reputation. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast offrered an excellent choice to cater for all needs. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful old city and the buses for visiting other places of interest stopped very near to the hotel.. We would have no reservations in recommending both the hotel and the old city of Dubrovnik for a short break. There are many very good restaurants offering excellent cuisine with friendly sevice. Wherever we went the Croation people were most friendly and helpful.

A great surprise
Staff was amazingly helpful and pleasant. Room was generous in size and well appointed. Fabulous breakfast buffet, great spa, pool and fitness center. Yummy colors of salmon and saffron exuded warmth & charm throughout the hotel. Prime location close to the Old Town, plaza and local buses. We really enjoyed our stay and the location.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Absolutely must walk the wall of the walled city. Best views. Also recommend visiting Lokrum by boat. Gellato seems to be the "national" food.
