Great location, great service, room too hot!

Hotel was on the whole very comfortable, and the room was pleasant enough, though not exactly spacious. Had to ask for extra pillows. However, the room was very hot for sleeping, and it was impossible to turn the heat down. (In fairness, it was -0 outside). Hotel wash basin not good at holding water for long. Breakfast was acceptable, lots of different cereals, cooked food, eggs etc., and a cold food bar. Lovely coffee on each table. Restaurant in the Hotel is Enzo’s and the food there is amazing! Cooked and presented to perfection, and the service is first rate. It is also quite expensive. We did enjoy our stay in the Radisson, and Oslo is just fantastic, can’t wait to return.

Make sure you take plenty. The Radisson has its own bus which goes to and from the airport - the Flybus - don’t take a taxi unless you won’t mind the very expensive fare - get the bus, it is around £14.00 each, and takes you straight to the hotel door. The airport is quite a distance from the hotel. Take good footwear - there are lots of cobbles and while we were there, they could be slippery in morning, and evening as temperature dropped sharply after sunset.

Inconsistent and poor on detail

we are sitting in the hotel room right now about to leave after a long weekend. It’s clean enough and we have no major complaints, but they have missed SO many details: - when we arrived, the double bed was made with a single duvet. - we are in the business class room - on the website it says this comes with slippers and dressing gowns - no sign of that. - just had the complimentary scandinavian breakfast in bed - what arrived was very different to what was on the menu. - they don’t replace things you use from the minibar. - the bed has been made in a different way each day. - breakfast is SO average - the orange juice is made from icky syrup and the breakfast room is CROWDED - they have added on another room to make more space and furnished it with school cafeteria furniture - cheap and NASTY. - small details missed - like salt in the pepper shaker and vice versa.

Disappointed

Did not met the expectation for a 4* hotel. When we arrived at the hotel at 11.00 am they had no clean rooms available, I may have accepted that but when we went back at 4.30 pm we were told the same thing. When we eventually were given a room, we found hairs in the toilet, phones not working, heating that cannot go passed 18 degrees, broken lamps in the room. That was not what I was expecting for a hotel of that standing.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Very nice panoramic view of the city and the bay from the 21st floor bar even though that come with a price that you will notice from the drink list.
