Good to be in the centre of town
Loved the hotel location - close to all you would want to see and do in town. Bedroom decor leaves a lot to be desired - rather tired. Saturday breakfast was full of mistaken food and toast finally served just as we had finished. Sunday breakfast was perfect with efficient and excellent service! All other food and drinks service was excellent.

NOT IMPRESSED
The Fleece is in an excellent location in the very centre of Cirencester. The restauant/bistro offers good food at sensible prices. However, the hotel is in desparate need of refurbishment and decoration. At the prices they charge one expects good decor,a modern TV and shower/bathroom. There is an overall feeling of complecancy as it is the only hotel right in the town centre. Old/historic should not mean ’shabby’.

Excellent location
Excellent location right in the middle of the market square, making it easy to find and a good base for onward travel. Charming exterior did not bely the inside - it was spotlessly clean, comfortable - if a little hot - and the staff were friendly.
