Docklands - THE place to stay

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are fantastic, the bedding is brill. My wife is now on a campaign to get me to buy the same. Marriot are so proud of it they actually have a sales brochure! The location is great. If you don’t know Docklands, try it. There are restaurants and bars galore, even supermarkets. All enclosed in some fantastic modern architecture. A photographer’s dream. The DLR (light railway) and tube may be a bit interrupted due to the Olympic developments but we found Jubilee or DLR offered great access to the City and one cahnge for the West End. Abso-bally-lutely brilliant. PS And the breakfast is great too!

Great Stay!

The Marriott was definitely a pleasant stay. Beautiful lounge, comfortable beds, impeccably clean. The staff bent over backwards to help. Their 24 hr room service, though overpriced, definitely came in handy for tourists that spend all day out and about :) The West India Quay tube stop is literaly around the corner. Will recommend to anyone.

Would stay there again

It has everything you’d expect of a 5-star hotel. There was only one minor drawback - our room was right beside the elevated tracks of the Dockland Railway, and the noise of the trains was a bit intrusive. However in saying that, the noise and vibration wasn’t overly bad, and the trains stop running before midnight.
