Cute and convenient
We found Darby OGills to be very convenient for getting around Killarney and the west coast. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The food was really good and we enjoyed our breakfasts. On our next trip to Ireland we will stay here again. Our Thanks to the staff at Darby OGills for making our stay memorable.
Stop at a local grocery and pick up some cheese, deli meats and bread and have picnics. Great way to save money on meals and to see the countryside.

Poor service + noisy rooms+far from the city
I work in the hospitality industry and have not ever received such poor service from the front desk agent. She was rude and indifferent. Answers to all of my questions were incomplete and not paid much attention to. I would have very much rather paid 50$ more and stayed in the city, rather than have had a noisy room and paid 30$ to travel to and from the city.

Friendly, homely and good value.
The hotel was just what we needed. The photo’s showed exactly what we got. Nice friendly staff, good food and the owner was very amiable and spoke to guests like long lost friends. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent base to visit the surrounding areas. Killarney has a good shopping centre with horse drawn carriages. Tralee is close by and has a good swimming pool with slides for the young ones and saunas and a steam room for oldies. Dingle is another must, you get the chance to swim with the dolphins, although you have to get there early to do this.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Make the most of your breakfast, have both cereal and the cooked. This should last you all day. Grab a sandwich at lunchtime then return to Darby’s and have your evening meal in the bar. The helpings are substantial and will keep you going.
