Tuscan Paradise

Il Borgo de Vescine was everything we were looking for in a Tuscan getaway. The setting was perfectly idyllic and secluded - just far enough away, but within a five minute drive to the nearest bigger town. The pool area was fantastic (even though the weather was temperamental), although the tennis court was in need of repair (which the hotel was aware of). The service staff was extremely helpful and polite, and spoke very good English. The dinner service was excellent and well-priced, but the breakfast buffet was one of our favorite parts of the trip. It was included in the price of the hotel and was certainly worth it.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Rent a car! It’s too far for a taxi, and if the weather is sub-par, you will want to get away and explore the hill towns in the area. Just go exploring - you won’t regret it!

Exactly what we were looking for!

This place was perfect with good food, views and privacy. The wine tasting held every evening is relaxed and informal. The place has a very homely feel. Also the staff is very helpful with good tips on dining in the area around. The hotel is also quite central to the Chinati area for day trips to surrounding towns - Firenze, Sienna, Arezzo, Radda, Panzano & Greve. I could have easily spent a few more weeks here.

Cute!

This hotel was adorable! It has picture-perfect views and great service. The meals were exquisite. Because this hotel is a 13th century hamlet, some of the rooms are a little rustic. I found a couple bugs in my room over the 4 days I was there. The bed was in sorry shape.
