Great place, but thin walls
This was a great hotel with very nice rooms. The perfect location for a little get-a-way. I would recommend getting an upstairs room if you want a view of the bay. The walls were very thin. We had horrible neighbors that were very loud and rude. If you happen to go in the rainy season and want a fire be sure to pick up a fire log, all the wood supplied was wet and wouldnt light. Great place and look forward to going back.

Nice for the area
We enjoyed our stay in Bodega Bay, but expected a little more. The rooms were nice enough and the pool area looked inviting. The scenery was delightful. We had no WIFI - even though they said we should... not the most helpful front desk, (they forgot to share the password!) ALSO - We had just come from Napa and Sonoma where the dining was exceptional... A little tough in Bodega Bay, even at the hotel. So the beautiful coastline was the ticket, and a nice place to stay - just dont plan on dining here!

Nice Lodge
The is nice with views of the bay. Pillows were uncomfortable but that was the only thing. The hotel restaurant was a little too pretentious for the area but was nice. Just not much to do in Bodega Bay itself.
Traveller's tip on dining
Go across the street for a cheaper meal. Or Cioppinos down the street in pretty good.

Comfort with Class
We spent our 2nd anniversary here and were very happy with the hotel. Plenty of room, love seat for intimate conversation, desk & a bottle of wine. All within 10 minutes of the ocean. Definitely recommended and will be recommending to family and friends.

Going Back Again Soon
I needed relaxation yet the flexibility to conduct business. This hotel filled that need. Lovely grounds, wonderful fireplace and I felt away from the crowd yet I was right in the middle of town. Loved hearing the seals in the morning. Will definately visit again.
Traveller's tip on dining
Visit the Tides dining across the street from the Inn. Fresh seafood and beautiful view

Nice Getaway
This hotel had the basics needed for a quick getaway. Pool and large jacuzzi were well maintained. A bit skimpy on the towels in the pool area. Towels or hotel and pool are the same, so the hotel towels had a chlorine odor. Bed was very comfortable, bathrooms need to be updated. Restaurant across the street had great food!
Traveller's tip on shopping
The Petaluma Outlet Stores are only 30 minutes away.

Anxious to return!!
We had never been to BOdega Bay and thought it would be a romantic way to spend Valentines Day. Even though it was a cold and rainy week-end, we enjoyed the view, relaxing, and solitude of the coast and Inn at the Tides was a perfect setting!! We even had a view of the coastline!! We enjoyed the Complimentary breakfast and scenic view there too. We plan to return when it is sunny and we can enjoy walking on the beach!! Thanks for the great wk-end.

A great location and lots to see and do nearby, and so close to the Wine Country.

Excellent Stay
Having stayed at The Inn At The Tides before I was dismayed to see some of the poor reviews recently and was concerned it had gone downhill. Not the case. Arrived at 345 PM and I was greeted by courteous staff and the room was ready. Upon entering the room I found it clean, fresh smelling and with a fully stocked fireplace and wood bin. There were fresh flowers, houseplants and a complimentary bottle of chardonnay. I hadnt been there 5 minutes when housekeeping appeared at the door with our robes in hand apologizing because they werent there when we arrived (I hadnt noticed)and insisted on hanging them in the closet. The bathroom seems to have been recently remodeled and all the fixtures were new and functional. Yes there was a burn in the carpet in front of the hearth but some people dont know how to close the fireplace screen and I dont expect them to tear up the carpet for every burn. Dinner at The Tides restaurant was pleasant experience with excellent Bodega Bay chowder and fresh fish. Beautiful view of the bay from every table, especially at sunset. I would definitely opt for the included continental breakfast hotel guests receive at The Tides. Fresh fruit, freshly baked croissants and muffins, oatmeal, granola, juice. coffee or tea all included. A great stay! We did not use the pool but walked around the well maintained grounds. This hotel is more rustic and weatherbeaten than some others in the area and that is exactly why my wife and I prefer it. Well go back.
Traveller's tip on dining
The Tides restaurant has excellent fresh seafood as there is a wholesale fish market next door. Lucas Wharf about 2 miles south on Hwy 1 is also a good choice. Both are moderate - expect about $25-30 a person but you wont leave hungry.

This hotel was a surprise & loved the fireplace
Everything was great! Good check in, location, views to die for and service. Only problem was there were 8 separate rooms in my building and only one hot water heater. Uh Oh! No hot water when we went to take our shower. They said they would credit our Expedia account, so we will see if this comes through
Dress warm...with a winter coat in the summer.

Nicely Tucked Away
The Inn at the Tides is a very nice hotel tucked away in the quiet fishing town of Bodega Bay. The rooms are comfortable and the food at the restaurant was very good. We stayed only one day, but I could have stayed longer.

Housekeeping could be improved
We had to change rooms because the TV didnt work, the bathroom wasnt sanitized in the first room and there were stains on the carpet. The second room was much cleaner but lacked the view of the first room. It was ok, but next time I will stay at the Bodega Lodge.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Nice beach ride from the Chanslor Ranch and fun shopping at Duncan Mills.

great location; great buildings; mediocre service
probably the nicest spot on the ocean in Bodega/Sonoma; beautiful rooms [fireplace lofts]; former problems with clanliness/maintenance seem to have been corrected; front desk staff could be more friendly, concerned with guests satisfaction; great restaurant [Bay View room] but have encountered surly wait staff; a bit on the expensive side

Not worth the price
overpriced. Old buildings with smelly rooms. There were bugs in the bathroom. No free TV channels. Good location, great pool and surroundings.
