Very old and run down hotel
Carpet was very dirty and the bathroom shower kept switching off. Very helpful employees. We travel often and this hotel was horrible.

Good food and very near subway
1. Plenty of good Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai restuarants around the hotel. 2. Many fruit stalls and shops selling fruits, drinks, snacks at a lot cheaper price than other places in Manhattan. 3. Grand Street subway station is just around the corner from the Hotel. Extremely near. About 50 paces. So, we can go to all attractions we want very easily. 4. Room are acceptable. Clean and well kept. If there are refrigerator and microwave in the room, it would be perfect.

Location, location, location
Since we wanted to be near Chinatown, the location is ideal. And it is right next to a subway line. There are few amenities - a very small lobby, plenty of hot water but some water pressure problems, narrow hallways. This is a typical NYC hotel with "moderate prices." If you want to be pampered, this is not the place. If you just need a clean place to sleep, this is fine.
