Aweful hotel stay.
The front desk woman who checked me in was pleasant, but that is the only nice thing I have to say about this hotel. Its old, smells like cigarette smoke everywhere you go, even in the elevators. There is no on-site reataurant and the Penthouse lounge was depressing. The rooms oom walls were paper thin and I could hear conversations and the TV from the adjoining room. And the only way to close your room door was to slam it shut, which began on my floor each day at around 5:30 am. Even when I tried to quiety close my door, it was difficult to do without making a lot of noise. The neighborhood is not safe, as well. Within 5 minutes of leaving the hotel to find something to eat for dinner, I was approached twice for money. And when I walked down to the River Walkway, two young men at different times kept yelling at me to try to get my attention. I travel a lot, and lived and worked (former bartender) in Brooklyn for almost 15 years, and if I hadnt pretended to be on my cell phone as I quickly walked to find other people to be around, I KNOW I would have been mugged or jumped. And this was all before the sun had even set! Book your hotel stay for The Partridge Inn.

Not the place to stay
The room smelled, AC was LOUD, room was right next to active train track, no dining available, advertised indoor pool was closed for no reason.

Wouldnt go back
Augusta might be great when the golf is on but there is little to recomend it otherwise. This hotel is very central but most of central Augusta is struggling and there is little to do. Hotel was pretty deserted and a bit old - although clean. Breakfast was basic but ok and we struggled to find somewhere for lunch in the centre of town. Also hotel is only a block from a train line - freight trains go through and blast their horns at every intersection even at 5:20am which made for a very disturbed night. I would not stay here again.
There is a new shopping mall a bit out of town which is in a much livelier area.
