Very nice staff
I was only at this hotel one evening and checked in very late. The night manager greeted me warmly and upgraded my single room to a suite for no additional fee and they all treated me like a queen. The accommodations were fairly good, but I highly recommend this hotel just for the staff and the service.

Airotel Alexandros - peace in the city (ish)
Getting to the htoel was extremely easy, as the X95 from teh airport (3.20 Euro) dropped off literally outside. The hotel is set back off one of the main roads in Athens, down a side street. This helped cut down on the noise from the traffic somewhat. The hotel has a small chapel in the front grounds and looks very inviting when you walk up to it. The hotel inside is bright, clean and airy and the staff are wonderful. They can help you out wiht the location of local amenities and the best way to get to the main tourist sights. The rooms are large (for European standards) and clean. The rooms come equipt with a safe, tea/coffee making facilities and have a large balcony. Breakfast is held in the main restaurant and is plentiful and of a high standard. I would highly recommend the hotel.
