PLACE TO STAY in San Marino
The group that owns the Titano, also owns the San Marino GRAND Hotel. (Just ’DOWN’ the block.) If you know San Marino you know the blocks in the Old City are ALL ramps leading to the Castles. In any case, the Titano is RIGHT IN THE HEART OF IT! My family and I stayed there for the Gironate Mediovale (Medieval Days) feast and were in the midst of all the action. The FOOD is great, and the Titano’s Roof Top Restaurant is a just an Awesome place to dine/see the panorama.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
We definitely recommend the Medieval Nights for San Marino. The event’s occur during July, and this Four Days/nights of medieval shows, events, kids attractions, and the Merchants of Thiene are all fantastic, and it winds into the night. Have fun!

Breath-taking views, perfect setting, great service!
San Marino is a destination that should not be missed. We were fortunate enough to be at the hotel in low season and landed a room with a fabulous balcony. Even without this the hotel is clearly a great place to spend your time, high quality rooms combine with excellent service and the world’s friendliest dog greets you on arrival! Breakfast also top notch. Would love to go back.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Even though it was the end of February, the weather was glorious, clearly a good time to go to avoid the crowds. Check out Fred’s liquor store across the road, always on hand for free tastings!
