Everything on your doorstep..
..this hotel is in a perfect location, a few minutes level walk from the railway station, and right next to a pub, a good Moroccan restaurant, the famous Sally Lunns, and just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Hotel staff were friendly, and welcoming. Breakfasts were good- not too much in the cooked version, and lots to choose from in the buffet area, if youre still hungry! Room itself was spacious, the beds were OK...the bathroom was pristine, with plenty towels for guests. OK, it was noisy at night, outside the front of the hotel, and I need the window open...maybe at the back of the hotel its quieter? Not a huge problem, though,I slept OK. All in all, a great choice of hotel, will definitely choose this one again, on future visits to Bath!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Do the Bizarre Bath tour- no excuses, it starts from the Huntsman Pub, which is right next to the hotel! A comedy tour of the city- a laugh a minute! Bizarre Bath "season" is April to end October, I believe, so hurry!

Great Location Excellent room poor service expensive
Hotel is in a great location and the room we had was enormous with comfortable bed and Air Con. Check in service was hopeless I was told we had room 133 on the first floor. Sorry the lift is not working no offer of any help with bags. Sent off up the stairs following hopeless signs up and down stairs along corridors and eventually found the room after about 10 minutes. The following day we found out the room was actually just behind the reception and could be access directly from the breakfast room. Overall good hotel for a short stay but no local parking that was available even for £10 per 24 hours. I finished up in the railway station which was £4 for 24 hours over the weekend.

All about location
Ideally located for everything central when coming for daughters wedding: Guildhall, Roman Baths, shops. Tricky parking so come by train or taxi! Very pleasant and helpful staff especially the acting night porter, James.
