Great location, clean and compact
Room was small but clean. Centrally located near tourist area. Staff was a huge help when I needed to communicate with staff at the airport after I arrived in Reykjavik - but my suitcase did not - and recommended a store where I was able to replace essentials even late on a Sunday night.

Location, flexibility and comfort!
Despite the fact that it took us a half hour to make our way to the hotel due to the many one ways, we arrived the hotel around 8:00 am. They let us check in early which was great news considering the fact that we hadnt slept in 23 hours. We took a power nap and then headed out for some exploring. The location of the hotel is central to what you want to see in Reykjavik. Breakfast was typical European including hot and cold items. The hotel was typical European as well with minimal decorations, but was very clean and definitely comfortable. Parking was more of a hassle; you had to find a spot on the street and pay for it until 6pm. Rooms are small, but the beds and the feather-down comforter were great! Im really glad that I read reviews before I left, otherwise I would not have known that you need to place your room "key" into a light slot as you enter the room in order to be able to turn the rest of the lights on. When you leave, you take your card and the lights will go off! Something that Americans should be doing! Overall, this hotel experience was a great intro to Iceland! We are going back next summer.
