Economy and Convenience

Metropole Hotel rooms are small and plain but clean. Prices are excellent, and if your interest is access to the shopping district of Shanghai the location couldn’t be better.

Not very impressed

Typical smokey lobby. Room was fairly spacious, beds very hard, as in most of China. We were facing the street and it was very noisy. Location was good though, just a few blocks from the Bund and about a 15 minute walk from the Yu Gardens.

Not impressed

Stayed two nights on business trip. Hotel reception & lobby nice, HOWEVER - rooms were shabby, noisy - no double glazing , net curtains were beyond filthy - and although bathroom was clean, there was no hot water. Im not even overley fussy - but I expect to have hot water for a shower in my room. Would not stay again.
