Best hol iv ever been on! Great food, nice people, lovely place!
Had such a good time at Marni. Definatley gd value for money, had a tv which we only used for VH1 coz i forgot ipod speakers.Even had an iron which turned out to be very useful. :-) Pool is lovely, staff are very friendly and is in a good location for goin on adventures in Crete.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
From Marni Village the tavernas in Kotoloufari are only 2mins walk away, Piskopiano is about 5mins walk and Hersonissos is about 30mins walk. Recommend Nostos Bar in Piskopiano for a good giggle with the owners Manos n Lucy! And deffo go Restaurant Steki in Kotoloufari, with great food u get great entertainment(watch out for the menu throwin)

Good place to stay
Well appointed bungalows with kitchenette offering truly impressive views of Hersonissos from the bar/pool area. Note that there is an extra charge (5-10 euro) for air-conditioning. Also, while less than 5 minutes away from the nightlife by car it would be quite a demanding walk up the hill at the end of the night(taxi costs 10 euro to Hersonissos, 14 euro to Malia).
Traveller's tip
Restaurants around Koutouloufari offer ’touristy’ food and are overpriced. Best beach nearby is just west of the palace of Malia- taverna there offers good good. Palace of Knossos at Herakleion is a must. Hersonissos has great nightlife (mainly Dutch tourists). Brits go to Malia. Rent a car to see the island (unbelievably beautiful.

Great stay on Crete
We stayed at the Marni Hotel in Hersonissos for 7 days. The accomodations were clean, quiet and ample for the 4 of us. We had a 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The pool and pool bar/diner was excellent! The only problem we had was finding it the first time, but if we had printed the directions off of their web page, it shouldn’t have been a problem. It is located up in the old village off of the main tourist drag, which made it even better! We would highly recommend it and would stay there again.
