Do go for dinner!
Quite typical of French chateaux - faded at the edges, made up of several buildings, in pleasant grounds but very close to built up area. Our charme room was a comfortable size with a small balcony with french old but clean furnishings. The restaurant decor was lovely and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Note:the restaurant is closed Monday (not many alternatives nearby).
Make sure you have dinner there - quite expensive but worth it.

A good experience
We stayed one night in January. Our Charme room was very comfortable, but the kingsize bed was 2 singles made up separately and pushed together. The bathroom was rather poky, but the towels were OK. the restaurant was very pleasant and the food was good. The staff were very attentive and the restaurant was busy with locals on a Friday night. Breakfast was fine. we had a very pleasant stay and would certainly use the hotel again.

Not impressed!!
I have stayed in many a chateau in France but this is probably the worst for service. The restaurant was fully booked for both nights of our stay, at breakfast they had run out of pastries before 9am and our room was shabby. I would expect better service from a hotel in the Chateaux & Hotels de France hotel recommendations.
