Was Comfortable and Good Breakfast
Enjoyed our stay here, first time in Italy and my husband had a business meeting but we went a few days early to enjoy Italy. Our guidebook said this hotel was very clean and I agree. We had plenty of space for the 2 of us, plenty of mirrors and the bathroom was always stocked with plenty of toiletries. The breakfast had more variety that I had expected for a European breakfast. The staff would make cappuccino and bring it to you or you could have the "american-style" coffee in the breakfast room. Enjoyed it, but the one elevator would take too long to come, we walked to our 3rd floor room mostly. Also, this hotel was close fairly close to the train station and an overall good location.

Central but not Comfortable
Although the hotel is central, the rooms were dated and the bathroom has mildew, which could have been dealt with. The room smelled dank when first opening. The air conditioning was woefully inadequate, which offered no respite from a hot day of sightseeing or a restful night of sleep. On the plus, the sheets were clean. The hotel is close to the centre and the train station.
Traveller's tip
Close to the train station (10 minute walk) which services Venice, Florence, Rome and Naples. The centre of Bologna offers fresh fruits, pasta, hams and other Italian goodies. However, shop around the backstreets for bargains on cheese, pasta and wines.

no wifi!
Was staying there for business and was thrown by the lack of wifi. There’s an ancient PC in the lobby you can use for 5 EUR an hour, but their sister hotel next door, the Tre Vecchi, actually has wifi.
