Never again

I read some of the other reviews before I started mine. Maybe it depends on who is at the desk when you arrive. We had a room with the poorest excuse for a bed we have ever had. The clerk put us with three suitcases and one handbag into a second floor room. There are NO elevators, dragging all this up two sets of steps after going outside and across a parking area (and that’s after walking with all of it from the bus station). The other couple who were getting a room at the same time had one hand bag each and he put them in the first floor. At least he was friendly which is more than could be said for any of the others. One clerk could not even be bothered to look at us when we said "Good morning" to him each day. There were dangling cobwebs over our bed and the rest of the room didn’t look any too clean. However the square the hotel is on does have good pubs with friendly people and we did have a good time in Crawley itself. Just will stay somewhere, anywhere else next time.

worst bed ever

hotel is not terrible considering the price HOWEVER the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in- the matress must have been 100 yrs old.-If you want a good night’s sleep before flying out from Gatwick- forget this hotel.

Stay somewhere else if you can

I booked this late I admit, but the hotel was far from full yet they still couldnt give me decent room. I have been in saunas not so hot, was overlooking the car park which never stopped, had a bed worse than a camp bed and then I was woken at 6.30am byt builders who set up below my window with trucks and boiling hot tar! Lovely. When i compained they just said ’sorry about that’ and made no offer to recompense me. So, last time I go to the George Hotel in Crawley. I’ll take a tent next time. It wont be worse I assure you!!

Stay somewhere else.
