A gem in Anacapri
Our stay in Albergo Senaria was delightful and quiet. As Anacapri is away from the hustle and bustle of Capri, one can enjoy the sea and the verdant surroundings in a modicum of peace. Those who both owned the Albergo, as well as those who worked there, were unfailingly polte, civil, and informative.
Traveller's tip on dining
There is very little of culinary excitement in Anacapri. However, there are basic restaurants that meet the traveler’s needs. One gripe is the increasing amount of the "coperto" or cover charge in all restaurants, very often offering no table linen or even bread. This has been a negative perception of mine ever since I began travelling to Italy. Some of the prices and cover charges on the Isle of Capri are outrageous, to say the least.

Beautiful, tranquil, and idyllic
I was thrilled with the Albergo Senaria upon arrival, and it only got better throughout our stay. The hotel was clean, tranquil, and stylish. The staff were low-key, friendly, and helpful. The terrace was lovely, and I enjoyed relaxing outside, taking in the views. The room, including bathroom, was clean, new, and cheery. The breakfast, out on the lower terrace, was delicious. I was expecting budget accommodation, but in the end I wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else, even if I had money to spare. Anacapri is definitely the quieter, more quaint side of the island- I definitely recommend it and the Albergo Senaria.

perfect switch off
We had the perfect couple of days here - Capri is a stunning Island in itself but this is a little gem of a hotel. We saw the beautiful bouganvillia lined road and stopped to take photos and realised to our delight this was where the hotel was located! Really friendly welcome and lots of help from the start to get us out and around with tips on travel and local restaurants. Very peacefull and just a pedestianised stroll to the centre of Anacapri. Breakfast simple but perfect ! We loved it here.
When you arrive in capri get the bus from the port to Anacapri and its about three stops after the main town. Get off and just take the pretty road between the shops which lead down the steps and hotel is on right. We got around the whole island by bus it was really easy and cheap and frequent. The service runs 24 hours so there is no problem getting in and out of Capri town at night although Anacapri has plenty to offer too.
