A cosy La Penita
Tucked away 3 minutes from the main drag of Avenida Playas, La Penita itself is just perfect. Not flashy, nor rundown. We had a room facing away from the pool area and the road traffic, so it was a quiet corner within the complex. I was pleased with the pool - a good oval size to properly swim in and it was clean. However no evening swim as it shuts at 7pm. Despite no reserving sun loungers in advance, it still happens unfortunately. A cleaner did a reasonably good job with our room, turning up 5 out of 6 days stay. Overall, I am well pleased with La Penita.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
The apartment management organises activities on an hourly basis except Thursdays. most days they have a water polo for anyone who is interested to join in. Outside of the apartment, check out Last Minute Travel for a tour of the works of Cesar Manrique at 55 euro each including lunch. Wonderfully value for money with a good english speaking tour guide!!

I read great reviews before travelling and they were all accurate. The apartments were spotless, any problems were sorted immediately with no fuss whatsoever. Everyone was helpful and friendly and the grounds were well maintained. The food at the bistro was as good as any of the restrants we ate at and the bonus was that you could take it to your apartment to eat if you wished. A lovely relaxing holiday experience.

Great little find
Very nice well run establishment. Right in the heart of all the restaurants and bars. Lovely big pool and pleasant gardens. This is my 3rd visit.Never disappointed!!
Traveller's tip on dining
Lots of good restaurants around. Too many to mention. But Mexican, Italian and grills. I never use the "Lani’s" chain. They are everywhere.
