Not impressed.
Booked this hotel for convenience near airport. Extremely difficult to find. Expensive for what it provides. Double-bedded room had one side of the bed against a wall. Noisy, right next to busy dual carriage way.

Don;t be misled by ’La Rochelle’ in the title of this hotel
This hotel is billed as La Rochelle La Campanile but actually is considerably further away than the journey from the airport would be to the centre of town ( whch is only about 3km)- such that the taxi driver charged us 35 euros for the trip from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is dark and dingy and the room is very basic by today’s standards. Wen you combine the cost of the room with the taxi fare we could have had a really nice hotel in the centre of La Rochell and walked to our desination the next mornoing rather than taking another 13 euro taxi ride. Breakfast for which the charge is 6.5 euros was good value and the staff pleasant though they speak very little English.
This is not a hotel to which I would take children
