Not worth the 4 stars
Was in need of a revamp. Staff not very friendly and did not seem very well trained. Bar seemed to be always closed. Rooms where dark but beds where very comfortable. The hotel seemed very clean.

This is definately not a 4 star luxe hotel. If you are looking for an average 3 star hotel than it is a good pick. Don’t expect any luxury. Location is great if you want to stay in the marais.

Weekend for 4
We stayed at this central Paris hotel overnight on an August Saturday. It is very conveniently located in the heart of Paris, though the centre was reasonably quiet with the locals in the South. The staff were helpful, and even provided us with another room free of charge when we pointed out that the double bed was not quite the same as a twin for 2 guys. The furniture throughout the hotel is of the ’Made in indonesia’ faux antique variety, but that was OK by us. The rates we paid through Hotels.com were significantly below rack rate (less than a fifth) and a quarter the ’normal’ rate for the day (which we were inadventently offered).
Don’t have a beer by any bar that overlooks Notre Dame - ours cost 9 Euros each ! Try one of the Jazz bars such as Cave de la Huchette for a slice of ’traditional’ 60’s Paris life - they were dancing the Foxtrot and Rock and Roll very well !
