A good hotel

This was a pleasant hotel situated outside the town near the industrial estate but it still had a nice view and was surrounded by greenery. It is quite a way out of town so if you don’t have a car it is not very convenient. I managed to find a bus that ran every half hour.

An adequate overnight stopover

The hotel was very easy to access from the A20 travelling south from Paris. We arrived after midnight ,having telephoned earlier, and our room key was in an envelope taped to the reception door (which closed at 11pm).Minimal tea/coffee making facilities were welcome. The room and bathroom, though very basic were very clean and the was a working colour TV.We left early am. before breakfast!

Not impressed

The hotel room was very small & claustrophobic. Biscuits and drinks were supposed to be in the room but although there was tea bags and coffee there was no milk and no biscuits. We ate in the hotel restaurant as there wasn’t anywhere else nearby. The service was appalling and it took about an hour to get our meal. We were served by two waitresses who did not communicate with each other. After the long wait my daughter was given food cooked on the outside and completely frozen on the inside. Not a good start to our holiday!
