If you really need to save money, its ok otherwise go somewhere else.
The staff is friendly and helpful, there is free WIFI in the rooms, very quite place, there is complimentary coffee, Tea, cookies and a kettle. These are the only positive things about the hotel. Its the first time I stay in a 2 star hotel, I have no previous experience to compare to. Its not a building, it looks like country houses linked together, more of a motel. The reception and restaurant are in a different section than the rooms. The room looks clean until you turn the lights on, there are all kinds of bugs (a spider welcomed me in the bathtub, gladly I dont have arachnophobia or I would have passed out). Dont ever leave your window or door open, you will see mosquitoes as big as butterflies in your room. Cleaning is terrible; you will see the same dirty spots over and over again.
Traveller's tip
Isolated and quite,to bus stop is 20min walk,at night roads are empty, surrounded with trees. In the French side, make sure you have Euros (2Euro for 2 hrs - all Geneva),the bus does not accept Swiss Francs,no exchange in the area.Village is very small,30min by bus to Geneva city, few nice restaurants & pubs near bus station, very helpful Tourist Information office, you can get the local map and discover all about Voltaire.Taxi to Geneva airport will cost 35 Swiss francs

Good basic hotel
After sticking with cheap three stars for much of our Europe trip, we finally went two star at a Campanile near Aix-en-Provence. From then on out, we only stayed at Campanile. For Americans, this is most equivalent to a solid Econo-lodge. It has no frills (although they all have restaurants), no bells and no whistles. But every one we stayed in was clean, comfortable, well-located and cheap. If you do not care about the frills, do care about your budget and want a cheap, consistent, name-brand, comfortable place to go, Campanile is a solid option.
