Great hotel if it meets your needs
I was very impressed with the quality of the hotel given the price. It was perfect for our needs. We needed somewhere we could drive in and crash for the night nothing special. We were driving to visit Caen Memorial and Omaha beach, but didn’t want to deal with driving around in Caen City Centre and paying too much when we were only in the room for 9 hours total. The reception closed at 11pm but we were running late, called the lady, and she hid the key for us to get in after hours. The room was clean and comfortable.

Perfectly located for visiting the D-Day memorials
Excellent Hotel and restaurant. Good service and friendly staff. The rooms are perfectly clean and restocked each day. My room had a full-sized bath but my friend’s room on the ground-floor had a very small bath which he couldn’t fit in.....and the shower-head was too low to have a shower! The hotel is sited in a quiet location but has good communications with the motorway network. If you are interested in the Normandy campaign then this hotel is perfectly sited. Pegasus Bridge is 3 miles away and Sword beach 10 miles. Travelling time from Calais is around 3 hours with excellent roads all the way.
The hotel has a restaurant in the grounds which has a limited but comprehensive menu. Breakfast is Continental with toast and coffee being the only hot things.......and even then the toaster is very slow.
