Avg motel
I read a review on Google - someone had mentioned that a towel was left hanging on the bathroom door when they checked in. I checked the bathroom door when I came into the room for the first time - and what do you know, there was a towel hanging :O... We were a bit sketched out when we were checking out. Housekeeping was making rounds - as we were waiting for the elevator, we were asked to leave a tip. After confirming that we left a tip - the lady said she was going to go in and check - which she did with us standing right outside the room waiting for the elevator. She came out with death in her eyes... guess we didn’t leave enough (?) After that - we decided against leaving our luggage in the lobby to be looked after (they don’t have a room to lock it in). The motel is right next to a sub station - however, it just happened to be that weekend that NYC decided to work on maintainence - such a hassel! Breakfast was avg - cold doughnuts and nasty bagels. It ends pretty early - 9:30AM - they are very strict about it. Free internet - that’s a plus! The cleanliness of the motel room was below average. The sheets had stains. The bathroom ceiling was... growing something or ready to cave in. The carpet was worn and dirty. Not a TERRIBLE place on a budget. It was the cheapest I could find that was not a hostel.

Good enough
The room was clean, the neighborhood was fine, the staff was friendly and helpful. The parking lot was adequate. The breakfast was horrible. For the price we paid, we walked away thrilled with our find. We will definitely stay again.
