Good value and good location
Good hotel -- great price. Convenient for me since I had meetings with colleagues and a lecture at a couple of Beijing’s universities.

Loved it!
This is a great hotel, excellent location near the main tube lines (needed in Beijing!), lovely large room, and an absolute bargain!
Traveller's tip on shopping
Markets are brilliant...haggle hard! Also, the acrobatics is a must see! Absolutely amazing. (NB Theatre location is wrong in Lonely Planet, get tickets from tourist information near Beijing central train station (also near the Marriott) and get directions.

Good location
The hotel is well located - has 2 metro lines on its doorsteps, just a few stops to Tianamen Square, Wanfuqing Shopping Street, and the majestic Temple of Heaven. There are numerous fast-food restaurants in the vicinity which are sometimes quite convenient.
As it was the National Day on lst October 2009, everywhere was almost closed and we had a nice lunch at the hotel restaurant. The price was affordable and the dishes were of good standard. It was well worth lunching there.
