Quiet and comfortable
The hotel is a short walk from the old city of Annecy and was perectly adequate for our stay. The disabled facilities in the bedroom were a little lacking in that no grab rails are provideed in the shower area, which meant that my mother was unable to have a shower during our stay. Nevertheless, the hotel provded a good base for exploring Annecy and the lake. Breakfast, which was not included, was on the expensive side and we ate out for half the price!

Restaurant Bastille, on the Quai des Vielles Prisons, is very friendly and serves delicious regional food.

Wouldn’t stay again
Firstly I have to say that I cannot fault the staff. They were always friendly and helpful. The hotel is a good 10mins walk from the old town. They offer car parking in the basement but do not attempt this unless you have a very small car - large stone pillars and a few very small spaces make for a frustrating time parking & risk of damage to your car. The room was large but was damp unless the air conditioning was on all the time - not something I like as it gives me headaches. Tried the window open at night but far too noisy with people outside shouting and car horns going all night. After 6 days there all my clothes smelt horrible. The food in the restaurant was acceptable but the menu is only changed once a week with 4 main course options and a buffet of salad, meat and fish. Also, a couple of times the restaurant was "full" due to coach parties. In fact there were tables available but only 1 member of staff on. The 2 main waiters were excellent but clearly run off their feet. To sum up, I wouldn’t stay there again due to the damp smell in the room.

Excellent value
Excellent value hotel near the centre of Annecy. No hesitation in recommending. Only negative point is that car parking spaces are very tight.
