Basic and Pretentious
My husband and I visited Colonna Park out of season, which may explain some of our disappointment. The food in the hotel was dreadful, the breakfast was nothing to be desired, the coffee was bitter and the pastries were dry, the dinner reminded us of school dinners, nothing was fresh, everything was reheated or reused and it was certainly overpriced! The room was basic and small and the bed mattresses were worn out and very uncomfortable. The pool was lot smaller to what it seems in the photo. I can imagine it can get bit crowded in high season. The hotel staff were pretentious and incompetent, they were not even able to print out our bill when we checked out! The grounds are however very well kept and the setting is rather beautiful even though bit far from Porto Cervo itself. The marina is pretty much just a marina, two bars, gelateria, supermarketa and that is all we found, nice boats though!
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Hire a car and go out and about, it is easy and everything is sign posted. Drive to Baia Sardinia, the beach is lovely and there is a choice of restaurants. Go for dinner at Skippers, around the corner from the hotel, lovely food!

Smart and comfortable
I found Colonna Park a very smart and comfortabkle hotel, with very friendly service. Considering the rather expensive area the price of the excellent evening meal, which i had on my first night was very reasonable. The room was very comfortable with a smallish bathroom but really good power shower! The swimming pool was kept impeccably clean. Only downside is that the hotel is a little remote if like me, you dont have a car. There is very little public transport available which leaves taxis which are quite expensive. I also went on my own in the third week of June which I was told by the staff there is not yet in full season so there was not as much going on as at my hotel in Sicily at the same time last year.
