Fab Hotel
We went to Bruge with an 7 month year old baby and they were very helpful providing us with a cot and high chair and heating up food etc. The hotel is in a really good position and very clean and nice. The rooms were of a good size we were extremly satisfied and would defo go back and recommend it for anyone staying in Bruge.

Convenient location
This hotel is just one bus stop from the central train station. Our room was very clean; the bathroom was a little small and it was difficult to avoid the shower spraying the floor. Do try the cappuccino and waffles, served outside overlooking the square...a real treat! The staff were excellent and very helpful. I don’t think this is a 4 star hotel but a 3+ hotel.
The female manager at the hotel recommended Sal + Pepe restaurant, just a short walk from the hotel. This is an excellent restaurant, well worth a visit.

Well worth a visit
We chose the Hotel Portinari because of its good location, which is near the centre of Bruges. Just walk round the corner and you are on the main street for shopping. The hotel is well placed in the ’t Zand Square and it is very pleasant to sit outside at the pavement bars, having a Belgian beer and people watching. We only stayed the one night and although we arrived before check-in time, we were allowed to leave our bags in the secure room and wander in to town. The people on reception were very friendly and helpful, the room was very good and so too was the breakfast. We would definitely stay again.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Sample a Belgian Beer at ’t Brugs Beertje, over 300 to choose from and the staff are very helpful if you can’t decide what to have. Try a Belgian waffle, chips outside the Belfry and make sure you buy lots of chocolates to take home. Visit the Church of Our Lady and also the Basilica of the Holy Blood and just wander around the streets as it is very relaxing.
