Great for overnight stay
We overnighted at this hotel when collecting wine from this region in Sept 2007. It is ideally placed in the city centre and close to bars and restaurants. We had a 3 bedded room and it was fine for an overnight stopover. We thought it might be noisy as it was at a road junction but the room had shutters and good double glazing so noise didn’t bother us. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel although they had a buffet. We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again.

We can highly recommend Restaurant Pierre, which has a Michelin star, in Macon city centre where the food and service was excellent.

Does what it says on the tin
Located adjacent to the main railway station, this hotel won’t win any prizes, but if you are looking for a clean bed for an overnight stop in Macon, then it’s fine. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room sparsly furnished in the usual French provincial hotel style, and when we stayed smelled strongly of fresh paint. Traffic noise could be a problem to some when the weather is hot. However, rates are reasonable, so you get what you pay for.
