A quiet Oasis
It was like stepping back in time to when service counted, people enjoyed their jobs and there was no rush. A great hotel in a central location without the traffic. Breakfast was huge and dinner exceptional, if a little expensive with current euro exchange rate.Nothing was too much trouble. Would use this hotel again
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Get a day pass & use the Circumvesuviana railway to access Pompei, Vesuvius, Herculaneum and Naples. Trains are every 30mins and are only a short walk from the sites

A nice hotel in a good location.
The room was nice, especially the bathroom. The hotel itself has good facilities and is in a great location, being only 5 minutes from the railway station and the centre of town. I ate breakfast in the restaurant, which was very nice, but I didn’t try the evening meals. The sister hotel, The Grand Royal Hotel is just down the road, and while it looks fancier, this one is significantly cheaper. I enjoyed my stay!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Getting to Pompeii was very easy and well worth it. I would recommend using the bus service to the airport as well as the train takes a while and also involves changing in Naples which is a bit of a faff.
