Small but perfectly formed!
The one bedroom apartment was as I have said in the title. The only thing we would have liked would have been a balcony, but to be honest it was so cheap. The location was superb and the lady at the La Fonda Apartments reception was EXTREMELY helpful, providing us with a host of useful information. Our apartment was clean on arrival and cleaners did turn up every day, but sometimes all they did was empty the bin!!
Taxi from Malaga ranges from 25 to 30 Euros (cheaper on the way back using local taxis!)

lovely hotel in a Spanish village
I love this hotel and have stayed there twice this year. It has character and charm and is in a great location. Some building work spoils the view abit from the terrace which is sad because i suspect this will not improve when that building is finnished. The rooms are abit basic but the hotel is not expensive. i prefer staying in the hotel iyself rather than the apartments. The breakfast is very adequate and the village itself is lovely and so different from the costa!
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
use public transport both from the airport and locally and you will save a fortune!

A great apartment!
Maybe not the highest price in Spain, but it was indeed a great place to stay. Except the fact that it took my friend and I a few minutes to work out where the bed was! Also, initially, the Hotel is difficult to find. The swimming pool is also awesome, although a bit deep for children (1 metre 90), but its all really private, and Benalmádena Pueblo, although slgihtly out of the way if you want a holiday with loads of beaches, bars and discos, is a really cute little part of Benalmádena - with a mix of tourism with Spanish culture and people. Id definitely recommend it, and go there again.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
If youre travelling by aeroplane to Malaga, its worth saving a few pounds by using a train and a taxi each way. A return taxi would have cost me 25 Euros, but using public transport cost 2.65 Euros each way, and the bus stop was less than 100 yards from the Hotel
