Great Stay at the Globe
Having made my reservation online, I emailed the hotel directly to be sure the front desk would be open upon our late arrival (11pm). Our room was not available, due to a conference at the hotel, so they gave us an upgrade for the first night. This room was magnificent, with a huge well appointed sitting area, enormous modern high quality bathroom with two sinks and a huge jacuzzi spa tub. The decor was modern and attractive. In the morning I saw a huge walk out patio and extensive view as it was the 11th (top) floor. The hotel is situated right next to the Globe arena, next to a shopping mall and a short walk from the Globen T-banna/local train. The hotel staff moved our bags to our new room during the day while we were out and issued us our room keys straight away. The breakfast buffet was substantial with a wide variety of swedish breads, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, eggs, cereals, yoghurts. Our second room was an ordinary small twin room, with a small sitting area and basic appointments. The bathroom was standard and of need of updating. Functional. No complaints. The cleaning staff were efficient and our room was cleaned and tidied by the time we returned from breakfast. There was a fitness centre which we did not have time to access. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
Stockholm Card - We bought the card and it paid for all our transportation and admissions for 3 days. This even included our transportation to and from the airport (Arlanda) by bus and local train service. Definitely good value for money. HOWEVER: I discovered later that many things are free for children under 18 and we had already bought the Stockholm card for my 15 year old.

Great Hotel - Eat Breakfast in the Globe
Hotel was great - clean, modern, comfortable, stylish. Recommend the hotel, and if you stay here, head to the back of the dining area for breakfast and you are actually in the Globe!

Comfortable Affordable & Friendly
We have just come back from a 3 night break at the hotel and took advantage of the 3rd night free offer. The hotel staff were friendly, the room was very clean & comfortable for the 2 adults & 2 children (on the sofa bed). The fridge was handy as we were on a tight budget and made use of the supermarket - when we found it - just turn right out of entrance stay on the street level & the entrance is on the end of the complex on the right. The station was about 5 minutes walk and the service on the train was excellent. We made full use of the Stockholm Passport which did save us money. The train system was very efficent & regular and most of the time there were seats available. The area around the hotel did seem very quiet in terms of lack of people so if you are looking for nightlife right on the doorstep this is not for you. The free breakfast buffet in the morning had a good selection but was busy & hot in the main area but you could also sit in the cooler restaurant area which was on the inside of the Globe arena.
